You know…when it really comes down to it…there’s no excuse for not creating. Why should I put off any longer what I want to make, what I want to bring to life? If it really is important to me, if it really is something I’m passionate about, then I must create it! And today, that’s what I did. Continue reading
Lately, I’ve been listening to this fun little desire inside me to make things with my hands. Over Christmas it resulted in hand-made ornaments and festive Christmas decorations on a budget. Now, I’m thinking of making bookmarks and wine glass charms that can be delightful for me and my family, as well as great personalized gifts for friends. So where do I start? Continue reading
It’s that time again when WordPress releases those magical little fairies to dazzle up reports for us on our blogs in the year prior. These are not just reports to me, but stories on the unseen joys of blogging. Below is the short story (aka report) for my personal blog, Amalia Vida. The numbers and stats are exciting because they represent the people, readers and fellow-bloggers, who brought it all about.
I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for all of you that make my blog possible and growing. Thank you for reading and following, liking and commenting, for sharing and just simply taking the time to check it out and enjoy. I greatly appreciate you and hope you continue on with me into this new, exciting year, of 2014.
Happy New Year of creative blogging fun!

So many things on my precious mind
Sporadic and jumbled it feels
What do I start with?
Where do I begin?
From my long, long list
Do I veer towards productivity?
Yet how is productivity defined?
Or do I drop all things to do nothing?
Being still and quiet inside
I find myself gravitate towards writing
Wanting to release through words on the page
Is this what I start with?
Is this where I begin?
Taking care of me is where I begin
Writing is sometimes what I may do
Perhaps singing will at times express me best
While being still and doing nothing also works
First things first
Perhaps I need to rest
