This Saturday can be your ticket to traveling back in time! Get yourself and any family and friends to the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum here in the Denver-Metro area for all the fun. I was able to get a sneak peek of this week’s events they have had that are leading up to the best of all…their Hangar Dance at Centennial Airport. You will definitely see me there this Saturday night, enjoying the live music of the 1940’s and 50’s, dressed up in period attire, and ready to dance and enjoy great food and drink. The highlight of the event is the WWII B-17 Bomber that you can tour on ground, the WWII reenactors you can meet and hang out with, like myself and my friends, and seeing the displays that the Centennial Airport has on view 24-7. You can even tour the B-17 Bomber on the ground through this Sunday, June 9th. Continue reading

What a great day! And of course it would be when I decide to have a Sunday, fun-day. After twelve plus years of living in Colorado, I finally visited the Denver Art Museum today. My friend Jack had the idea to spontaneously go and we were rewarded with a serendipitous turn of events when we arrived and learned it was free day and there was no admission to pay for entry! I’ve always loved the architecture of the Denver Art Museum building Continue reading
Today is the day…the green day! St. Patrick’s Day is more than just parades, yet in my mind that is one of the best parts of the festivities. My family and are I enjoying a day in downtown Denver. Our friend Tom will be playing the Irish drums at The Irish Snug on Colfax in Denver around 3pm, so that will be our one place that are scheduled to be at. Otherwise, we’re staying loose and fancy-free so we can be outside and hop in and out between all the fun bars that will be celebrating the Irish holiday.
What will you be doing for St. Patrick’s Day? Do you think your city or town does a good job providing festivities for the day? Share your comments and links here so others can enjoy the green fun. And don’t forget to pinch anyone who’s not wearing green…it’s the rule!
